What to look for and expect when choosing a home based business opportunity.

Monday, January 30th, 2012

Have you been seeking home based business opportunities where you can work form home and make money on the Internet?

Have you Googled terms like: work at home, work from home, best home business, how to make money online, how to start working from home, make money online, make money on the Internet, and many other similar terms?

Are you confused and overwhelmed about the number of choices of home based business on the Internet? Do you suspect that many of them are scams?

I totally understand how you feel. It’s actually good that you are skeptical. You should be! There are many Internet based, work from home programs out there that take your time, your money and your dreams, leave you with nothing to show for it, and dash your hopes of finding a real home based Internet business that really works, one where you can really make a lot of money working online without taking advantage of people?

My advice to you is to research diligently prior to joining a home business program.

Two critical points to look at when deciding.

FIRST, to truly be successful for the long term in any business, the program must provide you an Education of HOW TO MARKET. This is so important! This I believe is where most Multi-Level-Marketing companies failed in the past, and many still will. Not because they didn’t have good products, but their marketing style was to bug your friends and neighbors and not teach true marketing techniques. I remember years ago I was in Amway, and I’m sure your eyes are rolling now. I’ll stand by it, they had really good products, but no true training for marketing, then years later they got wiser and tried to take their members out of the equation by offering others to do the compensation plans etc. But none of that taught people how to market the products, the business or themselves.

SECOND, it is extremely important that you have an EXCELLENT MENTOR or support system, to guide you and help you succeed for the long term. I am sure you have heard the expression: “Feed a man a fish, and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime!” With out proper training, guidance, support and I believe most important of all education, it makes it much harder to succeed in whatever you’ve chosen to do. The bottom line is you’re going to have to be willing yourself to learn and empower yourself to beat the odds and rise to the top. If the system you’re looking at promotes being on auto-pilot while you just sit back and reap the rewards, I doubt you’ll be seeing much rewards.

It’s a fact that 97% of all businesses fail within the first 5 years and most of the time people are spending more money than they make. I won’t sugar coat it and say it’s easy, but I will say it’s possible. As long as you have a product you believe in and are willing to put in the effort and not quit, you can be successful. Many of those in the 97% category probably quit right before their business took off expecting immediate returns on their investment. It will take time, but all businesses should be looked at for the long term, not as a get rich quick opportunity.

In closing I’d say that almost any opportunity is viable and workable as long as you’re willing to overcome the obstacles of learning. Each system has their own tools, but don’t expect that to be the end all be all of your sources. Secondly, don’t give up, if you feel it’s right for you then do it, it’s often said do what you love and the money will follow. Keep that in mind, sometimes it will take longer than you expected but then Rome wasn’t built overnight either, nor were any successful companies.

Good luck with your search and best wishes to your success.

PUBLISH: 12 Tips to Design a Bestselling Book Cover

Sunday, January 29th, 2012

Your book cover is an essential marketing piece. Most readers decide to buy a book based on the cover and the table of contents. When it comes to creating the design of your book cover, there are numerous do-it-yourself software programs available. They consist of templates, which allow you to drop in an image and some sales copy and, voila, you have a book cover. Well, not quite.

CONSIDER HIRING A PROFESSIONAL BOOK-COVER DESIGNER
Your cover is such an important element for the overall success of your book, unless you have a degree in graphic design from a prestigious art school, I don’t recommend designing your own book cover. Before hiring an artist, review their portfolio and make sure you understand everything that is included with their fee (will they work with your interior designer, do they provide several mock-ups to select from, how many revisions are included?) Expect to pay between $750-$4,000 for a professionally designed cover. The cost is well worth the investment. See the difference between using an unqualified artist and a professional book-cover designer on the “Before and After” page at George Foster’s website: fostercovers.com/before_after

Here are 12 Tips to help you create the best book cover possible:

THE FRONT COVER

1. KNOW WHAT YOUR AUDIENCE EXPECTS OF YOUR BOOK COVER
Book covers for specific genres have certain similar qualities. Historical books use photographs on the cover. Medical books usually have a white background and modern lettering. Study other books in your category to get a feel for their design traits.

2. ATTRACT READERS WITH EMOTION
The goal of the front cover is to grab a potential reader’s attention and make him want to learn more by reading the back copy and the table of contents. What attracts a reader to the cover is an emotional feeling they get from the visual elements (including the color, fonts, and images) and the title. The cover should be minimal, not chaotic, and evoke an emotional response from the reader. When the reader views your book cover do they feel comforted, peaceful, successful, motivated, inspired, hungry, secure, adventurous, interested, curious, concerned, empowered, intrigued?

3. MAKE THE FRONT COVER EASY TO READ

The front cover must stand out and be easy to read (think about what it will look like as a thumbnail on your website or Amazon.com). Place the title near the top of the cover on a clean background (NEVER place your title over a busy background). Don’t clutter the cover with several illustrations. Use one strong image that relates to the book’s content. Do not use the word “by” in front of the author’s name.

4. USE COLOR TO CONVEY THE RIGHT MESSAGE
Color is a powerful tool. Choose your background color carefully to convey the right message. White conveys credibility, purity, and health. Red is warm, sexy, and exciting, and represents power, vitality, and action. Men relate blue to dependability, trustworthiness, and intelligence, while women often view it as sad and depressing. Black is authoritative, romantic, and mysterious. Yellow is joyous and energetic, often associated with home and happiness. Green conveys growth, prosperity, nature, and leisure.

5. USE FONTS TO CONVEY THE RIGHT FEELING
The font you select for your title, subtitle and author name has a dramatic effect on the feeling of the book. Check out http://www.my-fonts.com or http://www.store.adobe.com/type where you can type in your book’s title and see how it ‘feels’ with the different fonts.

THE SPINE

6. CONSIDER USING A STACKED TITLE ON THE SPINE
When your book is displayed in a bookstore, the first thing a potential reader will see is the book’s spine. Ensure it is attractive and legible by stacking the characters of the book title on the spine.

THE BACK COVER

7. USE BENEFITS AND PROMISES TO SELL THE BOOK
You’ve attracted a potential reader with your cover design, now you need to hook them with compelling benefits by telling the reader what’s in it for them if they buy the book. Will they become the best trout fisher they can be, learn how to navigate New York on $50 a day, be inspired and motivated by a memoirist’s triumphant story, or discover how the founding fathers created the Declaration of Independence? Write a concise, brief (two to four sentences) statement describing the content of the book followed by several benefit bullet points and end with a ‘call to action’ that tells the potential reader why they need to buy the book. The back cover of Dara Mark’s book Inside Story concludes with: “It is a must-have book for any serious screenwriter, playwright, or novelist” – wow, if you identify yourself as any one of those, you’re going to want to purchase the book!

8. CREATE AN ARRESTING HEADLINE

Write a powerful headline addressed to the reader that helps him or her relate to, and identify with, the content. The back cover headline for Inside Story is: “What IS the secret to writing a great screenplay?” Most potential readers who pick up this book are searching for the answer to that question. The headline quickly and efficiently lets the reader know the answer is contained in the contents of the book.

9. USE ENDORSEMENTS AND QUOTES
Testimonials, endorsements and quotes are a phenomenal selling tool. If someone else thinks a book is good, then it must have merit. The back cover testimonial for Inside Story reads: “Destined to become the gold standard for books on screenwriting!” That’s an impressive quote.

10. SHOW YOU ARE THE ULTIMATE EXPERT TO AUTHOR THIS BOOK
At the very bottom of the back cover (sometimes placed directly across from the ISBN), include a brief, one to two sentence only, biography highlighting why you are qualified to write this book and help the reader. This is not a full biography – you will include that in the ‘About the Author’ section inside the book. The goal here is to let the potential reader know you are an expert.

11. LIST THE BOOK CATEGORY
By listing your book’s category/subcategory (such as “true crime/current events” or “self-help/psychology”) on the upper left-hand corner of the back cover, your book will be properly categorized on the bookstore shelf (or virtual shelf, in the case of online booksellers).

12. INSERT AN ISBN & BAR CODE
You need an ISBN and Bar Code for your book to be sold through booksellers such as Amazon and Barnes and Noble. You can purchase an ISBN at http://www.bowkerbarcode.com/barcode(you need to obtain your ISBN prior to getting your bar code.)

Try Lying to Build Your Legitimate Home Based Business

Saturday, January 28th, 2012

You’re just starting to build a legitimate home based business and you’ve been told to promote yourself as an expert in order to build followers. Well, you’re new at this, so how do you do that? I guess you have to lie.

That could not be further from the truth. If you lie in this industry it will come back to bite you in the butt, undoubtedly. It is not necessary to lie about your income or your leads or your years of experience in order to entice people into your home based business opportunity. Promote and share the knowledge that you already have and be honest about the details if asked. People do not tolerate being lied to and it will be the death of you and your home based business if you do it.

What you do need to do is first believe in what you have to offer, and the results will come second. Turning that belief into an air of confidence and portraying yourself as a leader is what you need to do. Some people may call this posturing and they think that it is the same as lying. I beg to differ. Posturing means putting on your gameface but does not need to include playing dirty. If you are promoting a truly legitimate home based business opportunity then you have a few very important things to offer that no one else can offer – if you are doing it right.

First, you have a legitimate offer and you believe wholeheartedly that it will benefit your prospects. Great, now turn that belief into confidence and exude confidence in your marketing – but be careful, you want to portray confidence and sincerity, not arrogance.

Second, you have gained massive amounts of new knowledge from mentors, blogs, articles, and training materials from the very moment you started your business, right?? Right! So that means you have massive amounts of knowledge that others don’t have and you can honestly share that knowledge through article writing, blog posting, twittering, advertising – all without lying – you are simply posturing as a leader in the industry. You are also bound to gain new knowledge from your mistakes so why not help other entrepreneurs avoid making those same mistakes by educating them. You have knowledge that others don’t have so use that knowledge to develop belief in yourself and your authority in the industry. You can build from the smallest advantage. Remember that there are millions of people out there that have less knowledge on your subject than you do. If you are genuine and honest and offer knowledge and products that will benefit people you will benefit as well.

Remember, a lie is a lie. Posturing is showing confidence and believing in what you are doing and where you are going. It is showing leadership qualities that others will want to associate with. Be authentic and you will attract followers. And if you are still wondering what you have to offer then go out and learn something new. Find a master in the industry and obtain their training materials. Read the material, study it until you know it inside and out, implement it in your business and then share your new found knowledge.

Reasons Why Paid Online Survey is Not the Best Way to Make Money Online from Nigeria

Friday, January 27th, 2012

Making money from Nigeria using paid online surveys is a one way of making money online Nigerians are interested in. It does work for some people online but it does not work for Nigerians.

But first what is a paid online survey?

It is an exercise done online to help companies focus on the real needs of their customers. It helps companies find out exactly what their users really need. It requires most times contacting customers and would be customers to get information.

A Paid online survey refers to paying respondents to fill in information on an survey.Sometimes to ginger people to take the survey cash, discount coupons, or others are given to the respondents.

2 reasons why Paid online surveys don’t work for Nigerians

It is Not for Nigerians

It is conducted to get information from customers or would be customers to help the company make plans and strategize how to grow their business. So if you answer one and you are not a customer or is not a would-be customer, then any information you give may not be useful to the company that owns the survey.
Now, most of the companies carrying out surveys online are outside Nigeria. They need information from people using their products or services in countries where they operate (that is the UK or the US). They may also need information from people in countries they are about venture into but any survey filled by Nigerians or anyone living in Nigeria valueless to these companies.(unless they are planning to venture into Nigeria)

No wonder, some of these e-books recommend hiding IP your address (if it is legal why would you hide your IP address).

They Are Mostly Scams

I have read online how people got scammed by so called online survey companies. These articles seen online may not be the best way to know if this services really work and it does not mean that genuine paid online survey companies do not exist.
Genuine ones and scam companies also exist. So if you are a Nigerian looking to make money online from this method , you might just get scammed.

My Recommendation
Do not waste your money or time buying e-books that claim to hold secrets of making money with surveys. If you want to learn how to genuinely make money online from Nigeria, I have prepared a 72 page guide that will teach you all the basics you should know.

Work from Home Business Opportunity – How to Find a Successful One in Any Economy – Recession Proof Business

Wednesday, January 25th, 2012

Right now there are people all over the world who are hurting financially. Many are unemployed or underemployed and it isn’t easy to find work. If you can find a business that you can run from the comfort and convenience of your own home that can profit in a down economy, you will have a business that will thrive in any economy. And you will have solved your own economic problems.

What kind of a business will thrive in a recession? Two main businesses thrive in any economy. The first one is a business that deals with life’s basic necessities. Food, utilities, basic transportation (used cars, scooters, motorcycles) and basic shelter (apartment rentals, modest homes) are things that people cannot do without. If there is a way for someone to buy them, even during a recession, they will. But even though these are basic needs that people have, most are cutting back on these items. Car sales are down. New home construction is down. Realtors are struggling. People are making do with the items they already have, rather than buying new.

The other business is one that improves peoples’ financial situation. A business that helps people save money or make money is a winner in any economy, but does especially well in a down economy. Right now online business opportunities are booming. There are so many people who are looking for a way to provide for their families and they are turning to owning their own online business. This is a great solution for someone who is looking for work and is willing to invest in themselves.

So how do you know if you have found a good online business opportunity? Find one that has all the bases covered. A good online business will have a real live person there to help you when you need help. Make sure there is someone on the other end of the telephone who will answer your questions. Multiple streams of income and residual income provide security in the future. Get paid today for the work you do today, plus, get paid tomorrow and the day after that for the work you did today. It is a great system.

I have found an incredible work from home business opportunity that I am proud to endorse. If you are interested in finding a way to start your own work from home business, check it out. I think you’ll be as impressed as I am. You’ll find more information about it at http://cashfromhomenow.com

Learn How this Entrepreneur Goes from Eating Twinkies for 10 cents each to Running a National Franchise Business

Tuesday, January 24th, 2012

Profile and Interview by Kamau Austin

Hudson is a small business visionary. He is one of the rare people I know who successfully created a franchised business. This isn’t easy to do because you must have a documented money making system in place to do this before you can sell it to others.

Truly folks, this is an amazing achievement! Also interesting is Hudson is using technology to bring about innovation in his business.
From his personalized, secure, and cutting edge database of his clients to the professional videos which adorn his site, Hudson is on the move to use technological innovation to take his franchise business to the next level. Despite the busy tax season, I caught up with Hudson recently to ask him some interview questions.

The Interview

Kamau: Hudson can you tell us a little about your business?

Hudson: Tax DrX which offers personalized and privatized tax preparation services. We also offer financial planning services. Furthermore we represent you if you get called in by IRS. We do your taxes in a closed office environment.

Kamau: Hudson can you tell us a little bit about your background, like where you grew up and went to school?

Hudson: I attended the New Jersey Institute of design (NJIT). I went there to pursue a degree in electrical engineering.
My minors were accounting and finance. In college I took a leave of absence as a sophmore to pursue a business opportunity with Primamerica Financial. Later I founded Omni Planning Group, a tax and financial planning firm.

I then later came back and finished my degree in Industrial and Management Engineering.

Kamau: How did you become interested in income tax preparation, accounting, and financial planning?

Hudson: As an electrical engineer I discovered my plant manager wasn’t an electrical engineer. His degree was in industrial and management engineering. I discovered his background was more diverse in both technology and business.

Therefore, this inspired me to become more well rounded as a professional, beyond being just a specialist or technician. I pursued and attained a degree in Industrial and Management Engineering.

Kamau: Hudson at what point in your life did you decide you wanted to become an entrepreneur?

Hudson: It’s in my background. I’m of Haitian descent and in Haiti you go to school to learn to market your produce from the land.
Business allows you to control your destiny.
I started off in business at 10 years of age when the owner of a grocery store offered me a job eating Twinkies. The owner offered to pay me 10 cents for every Twinkie I could eat. At ten this was a job of a lifetime!

Kamau: Obviously that business owner offered you the Twinkie position to teach you a lesson LOL!

Hudson: Yes exactly!!! LOL!

Kamau: Has franchising your business been beneficial?

Hudson: Yes, franchising has many benefits. First of all there is less risk running a franchise because it has a proven and reliable business system in place. It is a faster start up.

Also it is easier to get SBA and other small business loans for a franchise since it has a proven system. People who buy into a franchise get an operation manual, support, and are selling a recognized brand.

Kamau: Who were some of your role models that influenced you to go into business?

Hudson: Bill Gates and John Hewitt of Jackson Hewitt and later Liberty Tax service because he took on H&R Block and said he was going to compete. Hewitt decided to address the needs not being met by the major tax services.

Kamau: Hewitt revolutionized the tax industry by automating it with software I understand. Even the government was inspired to automate the IRS with more software and innovation from him I understand. Is this true?

Hudson: Yes!

Kamau: Also Bill Gates was a great technological innovator in business introducing software for both business and personal use.

Hudson: Exactly!

Kamau: When did you decide that the Internet is a place that you wanted to do business?

Hudson: I grew up in an Internet age. The first thing I learned was how to put together a computer in college. Now-a-days you can’t do a lot in business without a computer and website.

Having a website saves money because you can introduce people to your business without the traditional printed brochure. A lot of people can find out about your business 24/7 with a website.

The Internet helps us support 15 offices nationwide. It gives us the ability to reach people beyond the barriers of geography. We can even log-in into client’s computers via the Internet remotely.

These days a nice website builds credibility. Yes, It is definitely a bonus.

Kamau: What makes your business unique or different from your competitors?

Hudson: Customization, personalization in a high tech and a private closed door environment. A person doesn’t feel like a number here.

You have to remember your tax professional knows more about you than your mom or parents – when it comes to finances. We keep a computerized record of your taxes in case we have to represent you to the IRS.

From your taxes and income statements we can make a plan of action for you to enhance your finances. Since we handle your taxes in a closed door environment it is both more personal and professional.

Also we are established tax professionals. A great deal of tax professionals set up shop around tax season and then disappear and go back to whatever they were doing before tax season.

If you need them to answer IRS questions they may not be around. Our offices are open all year round to deal with with tax issues or questions.

We stand with you and are ready to help you with any financial implications. If there are any audits we represent you and know what we’re talking about as far as tax law. We are like the accountants for the average guy (or gal).

Kamau: What are your top suggestions for people looking to capitalize their tax deductions this year?

Hudson: There are great deductions like the First Time Home Buyer deduction. But you have to remember to document your personal and business deductions. Good record keeping is essential in laying the groundwork to get a good return.

Kamau: Thank you Hudson for your time. Can you tell us where to get more information about your services?

Hudson: Of course you can visit our website at: http://www.taxdrx.com/. Also you can email me at: info@TaxDrX.com.

Tips to Help You Make money With cPrime

Monday, January 23rd, 2012

Since cPrime launched you see demonstrations everywhere on the internet. Some people are saying that it’s all an act however I have experienced similar products in the past so I know how amazing they are. Now there have been a few successful people in cPrime, however the majority who have joined are not prospering like they really deserve to be. So it’s my goal to give you some beneficial tips so that you can grow to be a top earner with cPrime.

I want to start by saying that I think cPrime is a great company with an unsurpassed product. Now since the product, company and compensation plan is already put in place for you to succeed, it comes down to you.

To become a top earner in cPrime you have to look at the principles that actually allow the top earners to prosper in their business. There are four principles that I want to cover that set the top earners in cPrime apart from everyone else.

1. First, you must vision that is greater than just yourself. You need to have a clear vision of what you want to achieve. Your vision has to be so compelling that it’s the first thing you think of when you wake up in the morning, motivates you through the whole day, and the last thing you think about when you go to bed. What is your vision? Are you driving the kind of car you want to drive? Do you want to live on the beaches of the world or in the heart of a city? How big is your dream home? All the top earners in cPrime, as well as every network marketing company, have a compelling vision that keeps them moving.

2. Second, you have got to learn how to attract cPrime distributors into your business like a magnet and have them coming to you for more information, rather than you chasing them. This is one of the most key aspects of network marketing that most people do not comprehend. You have to get it into your head that people don’t want to join cPrime with someone who does not understand how to be successful. You need to work on you and brand yourself as the leader that people are looking to join in business.

3. The third thing is you must understand is that the lifeblood of your business is centered around sponsoring a whole lot of people. This is a big mistake I see happening all the time. You are not going to get rich by sponsoring just a hand full of people into your cPrime business. I am talking about personally sponsoring 100 people or more if you want to be at the top. If you have a marketing strategy with a powerful presentation system, then you will be able to sponsor people with less time and effort involved.

4. Finally, the last principle of success in cPrime is consistent action and keeping FOCUS on your end goals and dreams. cPrime is a great opportunity, but it is going to call for work, effort and energy to prosper. The speed of the group is determined by the speed of the leader. If every aspect of your business duplicates, then you want your best to duplicate. If you can stay consistent through a long enough period of time, never give up on your dreams and you will reach them… that’s it period.

How Make Money Resignation

Monday, January 23rd, 2012

How Make Money Resignation, How to recognize How Make Money Resignation and How to Cure it.

How Make Money Enthusiasm and where did my how make money enthusiasm go to?

When I was a younger man, it seemed that I had how make money enthusiasm. It was like I could not lose. I had the golden touch. Everything and anything I touched turned to gold and I mad a profit out of it.

How make money things moved fast, and as you can imagine my success grew at an alarming rate.

I recently began to wonder what it was that contributed to the how make money success I was having. It always seemed like there was some mysterious force at work when I was in the groove.

After looking at this for a while I noticed that there is a couple of “key” ingredients that how make money people who have made millions and billions of dollars.

What are the “key” how make money ingredients you ask? We’ll get to that in a minute.

First I want to touch base on what happens in a persons life that causes how make money resignation and actually stops people from pursuing opportunities that present themselves.

I want to share a real life story with you. I have been in how make money marketing for quite a while and I’ve sold everything from real estate to merchant accounts.

Every once in a while I would enter some kind of time period where nothing would sell. I entered one of those times. I did all the things all my how make money mentors taught me to do. When I wasn’t successful I just pushed harder and harder. Finally one day I just got sick of it and decided I would conduct an experiment.

The experiment was simple and it was designed to see how I was presenting myself, as well as find out what would make people choose to take action.

So I used one of the how make money products I was selling as the catalyst for the experiment. I had a juice I was selling so I chose to use this juice for the experiment.

I took a case of this how make money product, hopped in my truck, and headed for main street Heber City, the small town in which I lived. From there I was to travel from door to door and instead of trying to sell the product to people, I was going to just simply give it away. What the heck, it wasn’t selling anyway.

So off I went walking down main street Heber City. The first store I entered was some kind of medical building, and it had a fitness center on the main floor. I like to start on the top floor of a building so I headed upstairs.

The first door I came to was a dentist office. I went in even though I hate the dentist. I entered a waiting room and walked up to the receptionist. I smiled and told her my name and that I was here to see the doctor. She told me the doctor was busy, so I decided I’ll just experiment with her.

I asked her if she has ever heard of how make money XYZ juice before. She exclaimed, no I haven’t. I told her that this was her lucky day, because I happen to be a representative for how make money XYZ juice and right ow this moment I am going to give you a bottle of how make money XYZ juice for your enjoyment absolutely free, with no strings attached. To my surprise she told me she would have to decline the offer and that they don’t allow solicitors in the building and that I would have to leave!

Wow, talk about a surprise. That is surely not what I expected to happen. I thought that it must be some kind of fluke or something. So I went next door to a small chiropractic office.

I entered the office and there was a familiar musk in the air that told me the people here were a little bit older. I noticed the receptionist area and I walked over and introduced myself. I was right the receptionist was indeed a little older and you could tell right away she thought that I was a salesperson.

I told her about the how make money juice and she told me she wasn’t interested and neither would the doctor be interested. I told her it was free and there was no obligation and she told me she didn’t care she simply just wasn’t interested. I even reached into my pocked and pulled out a $20 and told her here, you have 20 seconds to take my next gift, this nice crisp 20 dollar bill. I looked at my watch and started timing. Before I could finish she told me she wasn’t interested thanks for coming in, bye bye now.

I was in shock! I really was going to give her the $20. All she had to do was take it and it was hers. Probably would have been the easiest $20 she ever earned and she still wouldn’t take advantage of it.

Finally on my walk and talk I ran into a teenager who happily took my how make money free offer and went on his way.

Now I’m not going to go through what happened at every door. The facts we have are enough for this how make money experiment.

Now I could easily go into how all the other people were being and that it was just a coincidence. I could make excuses. However that’s not what I was doing the experiment for. I did it so I could take a look at what I was doing. What was it about me that would make people turn down free offers?

Could it be that I had become how make money resigned? Could it be that this resignation happened slowly over time and was literally undetectable?

Now this is probably easy for someone else to see or pick out, but when you are looking at yourself, in-authenticity about yourself that develop over time tend to be very elusive.

I looked hard and found that I had become how make money resigned. I was sick of it. I was only going through the motions so that I could survive. Survival is probably the number one reason why people sell out on their dreams and don’t even know that they did it. Success Through Forgiveness

Monday, January 23rd, 2012

Do you hold forgiveness only for those who ask for it? Do you usually find most people not worthy of your forgiveness? Hoarding forgiveness will sprout in your heart as a crippled seed yielding bitter fruit. Forgiveness only has value when it is given away. Forgiveness can dissipate anger and resentment. Holding onto anger and loosing sleep while you toss and turn thinking of the wrongs done you is very unproductive.
Greet each day with a forgiving heart. Forgive even those who do not ask for forgiveness. Don’t spend hours seething in anger because of some unthinking or uncaring person imagining revenge or confrontation. The offender seldom gives thought to his offense. By the act of forgiving, you are no longer consumed by unproductive thoughts. You have to give up the bitterness and be content in your soul and effective again with your fellowman. You must forgive those who criticize you unjustly.
A person who lives their life according to others is a slave. Do not be a slave. Know the difference between right and wrong and know what is right for your family. Don’t let misguided opinion or unjust criticism alter your course. People who are critical of your dreams and goals simply do not understand the higher purpose to which you have been called. Forgive their lack of vision and forge ahead. Criticism is the price paid for leaping past mediocrity.
Your greatest enemy can be yourself. Every mistake, every miscalculation, every stumble has been replayed again and again in your mind. Every day wasted and every broken promise even goals never reached compound the disgust you feel for the lack of achievement in your life. This dismay has a paralyzing grip. When you disappoint yourself you respond with inaction and become more disappointed.
It is impossible to fight the enemy in your head. By forgiving yourself you erase the doubts, fears and frustrations that keep your past in the present. Do not allow your history to control your destiny. Greet every day with a forgiving spirit.

Staging Diva Graduate Proves One Room Can Make all the Difference

Sunday, January 22nd, 2012

Even though Staging Diva Graduate Lisa Liberatore is no longer a teacher in the public elementary school system she’s still teaching in her new full-time career as a home stager.

Her staging business Brown Butterfly Interiors is based in Bay Head, New Jersey where Lisa is really leaving a mark as she proves the value of staging. In fact, she has recently been asked to put together a proposal for the public library system to educate people about what home staging is and how important it is when selling a home.

She’s also teaching the market about the power of decorating a home to sell through her own projects like a 3 bedroom townhouse she recently staged that had sat on the market for 6 months before she got involved.

It was a bit of a mystery to everyone involved as to why the home wasn’t selling. It was priced properly for the area and was being viewed on a regular basis through several open houses.

The homeowners called Lisa after visiting her website. They told her they were stumped. They had done some staging on their own and they actually had done quite a good job, according to Lisa. She writes, “They followed the basic rules: the home was clean, depersonalized and decluttered. Except for one spare bedroom.”

That spare bedroom had become a mess.

It had a bed in it but it was covered with clothes. The opposite end of the room had a small cluttered desk that was serving as a make-shift home office. The room was being used as a catch-all while the owners were packing.

Lisa’s clients didn’t have any children but they were living in a home suitable for a family. Using what she learned from her home staging training, Lisa staged the room for a little girl.

“I told the couple to trust me,” writes Lisa. “Everything was purchased at Target for under $100 and could be returned since no one was going to be using it. We put a gallon of paint on the walls and used furniture they already had.”

As a result, the homeowners received two offers at the next open house; both families with little girls. Lisa was able to prove that not only staging, but staging every room of a house is imperative to sell quickly.

Many people look for a house to buy with their kids in tow. Imagine the emotional power of having your child run into a room in a house you’re thinking of buying saying, “Mommy, can this be my room?”
